London 2012

Just because the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games are in London it doesn’t mean that your school or college can’t get involved. There are a number of really useful resources that are available to maximise the impact of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Olympic Park Visit

We are really pleased to be able to help schools access an exciting day visit to the Olympic Park. The focus of the trip will be to explore the past, present and future developments of the site. Although we organise the day full of activities, schools are charged per pupil to cover the costs. We hope to be able to offer this opportunity to all the clusters in our partnership as the year progresses.

Get Set

Get Set is the official London 2012 education programme for schools, college and local authority education providers across the UK. This website offers a huge range of opportunities and resoures targeted at 3-19 year olds.

You’ll find a whole range of flexible, interactive learning resources designed to get you thinking about the Olympic and Paralympic Values and the London 2012 Games – with games, fact sheets, films, news articles and much more.

Register with the programme to recieve access to even more resources and opportunities, a monthly newsletter and the chance to join the Get Set network and be rewarded and recognised for your school/college work.

For more information or to register your school log onto the Get Set website.

Get Set Network

The network will be made up of learning providers who are demonstrably living one or more of the Olympic and Paralympic Values and are committed to integrating these Values into their whole school development planning and ethos.
