This is a School games qualifying event - a TEAM COMPETITION as well as INDIVIDUAL QUALIFYING for the School Games. The top 10 Boys and top 10 Girls from each race category will represent the partnership at the Norfolk School Games event in March 2019.
Year 5/6 will run around 1500m, and Year 3/4 around 1200m - these distances are in line with the English Schools Athletics Association guidelines for Cross Country in Primary Schools.
Teams of 6 per year group - Y3/4/5/6 – therefore maximum squad per School is 24 pupils. Team composition - 3 boys & 3 girls for each year. The top 2 Boys & 2 Girls in each race category will score towards the Team competition.
Schools can enter lower numbers should they wish to give pupils the chance to qualify for the School games - but this will negatively affect your Team score
