Hellesdon – “Lead the future Olympians”
On Monday 21st November 150 Y2 pupils from, Arden Grove, Kinsale Infant, St. Faith’s and Heather Avenue , who are a part of the Hellesdon cluster took part in a 2 hour mini Olympic Multi skills festival. Over 40 Hellesdon High School Y9 pupils led the 14 activities which incorporated Agility, Balance and Coordination as well as target, striking and throwing activities.
The Junior Sports Leaders had designed the activities in after school sessions and recorded the scores. Each team rotated activities and competed against a different team on each activity. It was a very successful event as it is a terrific opportunity for the Cluster pupils to visit the High School and it was a great experience for the Young leaders as some of them will volunteer to help in the Primary schools and help with after school clubs after Christmas.
The winners of the Bronze certificates were team “C” from Kinsale Infant, Silver – team “12” from Heather Avenue and the winners of the Gold Certificates were Team “K” from Arden Grove.
