SSP SPORTSHALL FINALS RESULTS

One of the most hotly contested of all SSP competitions came to a close at Taverham High School last week.

The Sportshall Athletics competition is often considered one of the best events of the year - with several qualifying events leading up to the SSP finals.

This year the following schools qualified through the heats to compete in the finals

Toftwood Jnr / Firside / Drayton Jnr / Repeham / Taverham Jnr / Horsford Jnr

In seperate boys/girls competitions the competition was fierce to see who woudl represent the SSP at the county finals in March.

Boys Results;

1st - Drayton Jnr - 94 Pts

2nd - Firside - 86

3rd - Toftwood 1 - 78

4th - Tav Jnr - 60

5th - Toft 2  -46

6th Horsford - Did not attend finals

In the girls competition

1st - Firside - 94pts

2nd - Toftwood 1 - 82

3rd - Drayton - 80

4th - Reepham - 66

5th - Firside 2 - 30

6th - Toftwood 2 - 28

This now means that DRAYTON BOYS and FIRSIDE GIRLS will go forwards to represent the SSP in March at the UEA vs the best youing sportshall athletes from across the county. #teamRED

The event also saw several young athletes identified and rewarded for showing great sportsmanship - award winners;
