Purpose
A competitive opportunity to play cricket with the top 2 schools going forward to the county final run by Norfolk Cricket Board.
If you qualify from this event you will be invited to represent WNDSSP at the Norfolk School Games Dynamos Mixed Cricket County Finals on Thursday 20th June 2024 at Manor Park, Horsford CC - (reserve date Tuesday 25th June 2024- no transport provided)
Rules/Regulations
All players from Year 5 and/or 6. A team comprises of 8 players.
Each player on the fielding side must bowl 1 over.
All matches will be 8-a-side
1. Batting in pairs for 10 balls with batters swapping ends at the end of each 5 ball ‘set’
2. We are not adopting the ‘free hit’ rule so, as a result, any wides or no-balls will be re-bowled in the last over to a maximum of three extra deliveries
3. Batting teams start on zero and any wickets taken by the fielding count as a bonus 5 runs added to their innings
4. Overarm bowling please, where possible, and mandatory at County Finals
5. Two runs added for any wides or no-balls
