DANCE SHOW SUCCESS

Last Night the WNDSSP hosted its first ever Dance Show at The OPEN in Norwich. Over 2 performances we saw over 700 people attend the shows where pupils from schools within the SSP took part in a dance competition.

Over 300 pupils were involved with the show from 7 Different SSP schools and the evening was a huge success.

The venue was amazing, the atmosphere electric and most importantly the kids were inspiring.  The SSP is committed to providing opportunities for all young people to excel and this is no longer confined to just sports.  We embraced the Arts and intend to do more.

The evening was hosted in conjunction with Premier Performing Arts who have been working with the schools to prepare them to create Educational Dances - which were linked to research / topic work in schools to develop themes around the Central show theme of Travelling in Time.

The evening was amazing - so many happy faces and proud staff/parents beaming. Pupils embraced the challenge and showed great confidence, self-esteem, character and resilience throughout the day and evening shows.

Great Witchingham - Turn of the Century was the einning dance, with Drayton Jnrs Queens of the Nile in second place and Scarnings Churchills Children in 3rd.

The placings were incidental to the bigger picture of a great event which the kids are already asking of they can repeat next year.......

The good news is we will most certainly be looking to develop the show into an even bigger and better extravaganza next year.
