Dereham Schools Sportshall Finals

Taverham High hosted the latest SSP Sportshall Event with the Dereham schools battling it out for a place in the Sportshall SSP finals in January.

Leaders from Neatherd High school did a great job running the competition for athletes from Toftwood / Scarning and Thomas Bullock.

The winning team and runners up would qualify and competition was tough with a very strong Toftwood 1 and Toftwood 2 dominating proceedings.  Both teams were too strong for the rest of the teams and qualify for the next phase at Taverham in Jan.

Toftwood 2 pipped Toftwood 1 for the main prize but will revenge come in the next round?

In the SPORTSHMANSHIP AWARDS - Thomas Bullock were awarded a school award following a nomination from Toftwood - this was because their students attitudes throughout were excellent - never giving up although struggling against tough opposition.

Individual Awards;

SCARNING - Maddie Neale - Challenged herself and participared with a great attitude and was really positive throughout.

THOMAS BULLOCK - Hollie Dodsworth - Supported and encourages the rest of her team / gave it her all and loved taking part

TOFTWOOD -

Cameron / Leah - Positive great attitudes throughout 

Christian / Lucie - Winning with pride and losing with grace - great sports
