On a busy morning at Easton College over 260 children from Key Stage 1 and 2 took part in the busiest Partnership Tri-Golf event ever!!!
Many of the children attending were representing their Schools for the first time at a sporting competition & had lots of fun taking on the many different Tri-Golf challenges including putting, chipping and much more.
Assisted by the brilliant Leaders from Hellesdon High, the children took part in a number of activities collecting points along the way for their School team. After 2 hours of fun-filled competition, the top 3 in each event were as follows...
Key Stage 1
1st - Kinsale Infants
2nd - Nightingale
3rd - Garvestone Putters
Key Stage 2
1st - Firside
2nd - North Elmham
3rd - Mattishall & Lyng Eagles (tied)
So congratulations to both Kinsale Infants & Firside who now move on to represent the Partnership at the County Level 3 event in June - full results can be found on the attached document below.
Children were also being scored in relation to their 'Skills for Life' abilities, which rewarded teams for committment, enthusiasm, fairness, teamwork & listening skills. It was pupils from Arden Grove, Bawdeswell, Heather Avenue, Thomas Bullock, Kinsale Junior & Lyng who took those certificates home so well done to them too!
Huge thanks must go to Sally Benton at Hellesdon High for organising the event & providing such excellent Leaders, as well as Easton Tennis Centre for hosting us. A great year for Tri-Golf!
