Secondary School Partnership Athletics

With the sun shining over 350 secondary school children took part in our Partnership Athletics competition at the UEA Sportspark on June 9th.

Both boys & girls from school years 7 to 10 took part in a variety of track & field events throughout the day, scoring points for their School depending on their finishing positions.

The standard of athletics remained high throughout the day, with some particulalry impressive performances on the track during the sprint events catching the eye & some gutsy runs in the middle & long distance events on a very warm day.

The results for the Boys & Girls competition were as follows...

          2nd Northgate 327pts                     2nd Reepham 314pts

          3rd Reepham 317pts                      3rd Hellesdon 311pts

          4th Neatherd 279pts                       4th Northgate 291pts

          5th Hellesdon 270pts                      5th Neatherd 239pts

So congrations to Taverham on a richly deserved team victory. The individual winners will now progress on to the Level 3 County Athletics finals again to be held at the Sportspark during the week of the Norfolk School games (w/c June 20).
