After a month of virtual long-distance running we've had nearly 1500 pupils in 53 classes from 9 Schools successfully complete the 'Mo Farah Challenge'
Each class was tasked with completing 10,000m as a team with the challenge being to see how close they could get to Mo's winning Rio 2016 time of 27m 05.17s - and we had a class who managed to beat it!!! Congratulations to Miss Corbett's class from Queens Hill for proving to be collectively quicker than a 4-time Olympic Gold medalist!
Another huge part of the challenge was the opportunity for each participating class to enter a prize draw, with one lucky class randomly chosen to receive a free guided tour of the London Olympic Stadium courtesy of the West Norwich & Dereham School Sports Partnership. The prize draw was conducted by Rob & Matt in the WNDSSP office on the morning of December 7th (pictures below to show transparency!) and the winning class were........
Class 4S from Drayton Junior School!!!
Congratulations to 4S and we will be in touch to arrange your trip very soon.
A massive thank you to all the schools who took part, and keep your eyes peeled for two more virtual challenges this School year - a designated KS1 challenge and an opportunity just for KS2 pupils!
