School Games Hi-5 Netball Action!

It was the turn of Hi-5 Netball to enter the School Games spotlight as 13 Schools competed in both our Big & Small Schools competition at Neatherd High School.

The Big Schools were in action first & it was a frantic morning full of fast-paced Netball as all the Schools got the chance to compete against each other in a round-robin format. The standard was superb throughout and the goals rained in during some very entertaining games which were umpired fantastically well by the Sports Leaders from Neatherd High School. Full results can be seen on the enclosed document, but big congratulations must go to our winners Swanton Morley & runners-up Scarning who have qualified to represent WNDSSP (#TeamRed) at the Norfolk School Games in June.

Our Small Schools were up next and due to some late withdrawals the pace was less frantic but the quality of the play still certainly matched that of the morning session. The games were much tighter here with some well-drilled defences cancelling out some solid attacking play meaining that often just a single goal separated the teams playing each other. Congratulations go to our winners Bawdeswell, and our runners-up Yaxham who performed superbly well and go through with the Big Schools to the Norfolk School Games finals in June.

It was a great day of competition all expertly organised and led by Mrs Topping from Neatherd so we extend a huge thanks to her & her excellent team of Leaders for hosting such a great day. The #ThisGirlCan selfie frame proved a huge success as well and was very popular with the girls throughout the day as you will see from the pictures below!
