School Games Tri-Golf Fun for Key Stage 1!

The weather was kind to us again as just over 150 children from Key Stage 1 took part in our School Games Tri-Golf Competition

It was a great morning of competion as the children got to try out eight different Tri-Golf skills challenges under the expert tuition of the Hellesdon High Sports Leaders. It was great to see the progress made across the morning as some of the children who had never played Tri-Golf before picked up the skills & techniques really quickly.

Points were scored at each activity station and then totalled up to give us a final Top 3 of...

1st  KINSALE INF 510pts  2nd  DRAYTON INF 498pts   3rd  BAWDESWELL 457pts

So congratulations go to our winners Kinsale Infant who qualify to represent WNDSSP at the Norfolk School Games Tri-Golf County Final on June 19th. Full results can be seen on the enclosed document & a huge 'well done' must go to all the Schools who took part though as it was a lovely morning to be a part of.

Alongside the traditional competition we also ran a "Skills For Life" league table, which is a concept introduced by the Golf Foundation to help introduce & promote personal skills, teamwork and fair play. Well done to NIGHTINGALE who were our winners on the day with an incredible 76 points out of a possible 80!

As mentioned earlier, we couldn't have done it without Mrs Benton & her absolutely brilliant Leaders so we'd like to place on record a huge thanks to them.
