Fun in the Sun for KS1 QuadKids Athletics!

On a lovely Summer's day over 160 children competed at the Sportspark in our first ever Key Stage 1 QuadKids Athletics competition.

It was a great day of competition as many of the children got to experience & use the fantastic Athletics facilities at the Sportsaprk for the first time. Competiing in their School teams, the pupils got to take on four events scoring points for their team dependant on times & distances. The events were 50m Sprint, 300m Run, Standing Long Jump & the Vortex Howler Throw and were expertly staffed by our brilliant Leaders from both Neatherd & Northgate High Schools.

Full results can be seen on the enclosed document, but after a great day of competition the Top 3 was as follows...

1st - ASTLEY     2nd - MATTISHALL 'A'     3rd - DRAYTON INFANTS

However congratulations must go to all the pupils from all 8 Schools who attended for taking part in such a fantastic spirit & with loads of smiles.
