Autumn Term Round Up

During the Autumn term so far we have hosted 4 events including 2 footall events with one being girls only, 1 KS2 cross country event and a tag rugby event.

Our first event of the term was on October 6th when we welcomed over 120 key stage 1 childen from 12 of our partnership schools to the FDC norfolk for our Football Festival! A great morning of goals, fun, smiles & enjoyment - with a huge thanks to the superb Sports Leaders from Taverham High for leading the activities & games for the children.

Our second event of the term was held on October 14th where we were in the Autumn sun at The Crusaders Rugby Club for both our Tag Rugby Competition & Festival! We had close to 150 children with us & all of them were having a great time learning some Rugby skills - all under the expert tuition of the Neatherd High Sports Leaders who did an incredible job leading activities & refereeing games.

The third event we held in the Autumn term was a cross country event which took place on October 19th for key stage 1 students. Unfortunately we were beaten for weather on our second day which was for key stage 2 students but we still managed have a lovely day on the first day. Set in the beautiful grounds of Langley Prep School, both Year 1 & 2 pupils got to race around the huge field - and had a great time doing so! Lots of smiles, lots of fun & lots of amazing performances. Well done to all who took part!

Our most recent event of the Autumn term so far was a girls only football event which took place on the 10th of November. The grey clouds above Goals Norwich didn't stop nearly 150 girls from having fun at our Yr3/4 & Yr5/6 Football Competitions! There were some incredible football skills on display with over 200 goals scored in just 2 hours. All overseen by the brilliant Taverham High School Sports Leaders. A great day of football, fun and friendship - what a joy to be back delivering our events!
