Our Dance Show Finally Returns!

After a wait of over 2 years we were thrilled to be able to bring back our annual Dance Show with the theme of 'A Games For Everyone'

We were delighted to be able to use 'The Space' as a venue for the first time and we can't thank the Team there enough for making us feel welcome & going the extra mile on the day itself - we are over the moon to have found a new 'home' for our annual Dance Show!

Under the banner of the upcoming Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games the theme was 'A Games for Everyone' and the particapting Schools were tasked with taking inspiration from the sports, culutre, themes, history and heritage of this huge sporting event.

Queens Hill Primary opened the show & their mash-up was full of energy & high octane moves taking inspiration from a number of CWG sports as well as the colours & branding of the games. Following on were some of our youngest Dancers as the pupils from Toftwood Infants gave us a fun, energetic & lively routine to 'I'm Still Standing' focusing on the resillience & attitude needed to suceed at the highest level of sport.

Bawedeswill Primary then came out and wowed the crowd with a powerful, forceful & inspirational dance to 'Believer' highlighting the need to never give up & to keep striving. This was followed by the smiling Year 2 class from Mattishall who performed to 'This is Me' with lots of positivity & lots of energy as they showed they were not daunted at all by the 300-strong crowd.

Hockering Primary then came next and performed a beautful, flowing & thoughtful perfromance composed entirely by their KS2 pupils to a mash-up of songs - which left Reepham Primary to close the show with a dance to 'Euphoria' which hit the theme fantastically & dsiplayed lots of energy, ideas & feel-good moments.

On the whole it was an increible day of Dance, and with over 400 attending across the two shows it was amazing to be able to host an event such as this after such a long absence. 

Thank you to all the Schools, Teachers & support staff for all their hard work in getitng the children so 'stage-ready' and we cannot wait to be back in March 2023 with our next Dance Show!
