YR7/8 PARTNERSHIP GAMES
On 9th May 2023 we held our Yr7/8 Partnership Games at UEA Sportspark. This was a mixture of Compete/Engage/Develop themed event. The Partnership Games consisted of 6 activites which were Basketball/Handball/Girls Football (Competitive) and Dodgeball/Climbing/Yoga (Develop/Engage). Each sporting activity was allocated a school games value and was celebrated by the school team of each sport who portrayed this the best which was nominated by each of the participating High Schools.
We had the following 4 High Schools attended our event:
- Taverham
- Hellesdon
- Reepham
- Neatherd
Reepham High School sports leaders helped run the Handball competition, Hoopstars officiated the Basketball Competition, DESA supported the Girls Football and Dodgeball, UEA instructors delivered the Climbing and Ellise Owen delivered the Yoga sessions. Who were all brilliant at supporting and encouraging the students to do their personal best. It was great to see around 200 students involved in this great opportunity and for the students to represent their school in the Partnership Games. Following on from todays event, we encourage schools to provide the students to develop and improve these sports further by putting on clubs and encouraging the students to join a local community club to promote/grow physical activity in Norfolk.

A really big well done to Neatherd who won the Basketball competition today and the runners up were Hellesdon. Hellesdon won the Handball competition and Taverham were the runners up. Taverham won the Girls Football and Reepham were the runners up.
And a very well done to all that took part.
