YR6 TRANSITION TEAM BUILDING FESTIVAL
On 22nd June 2023 we held our Yr6 Transition Team Building Festival at Taverham High School. This was an Engage themed event and was for pupils who enjoy taking part and come to have a try but don't want to solely focus on winning and losing, instead they focus on supporting pupils wider development of their physical, personal, emotional and social health. All Pupils received a participant certificate and the school games value celebrated for this event was Passion. All children were encouraged to display the school games values and fair play but each team nominated one pupil from their school who stood out the most for showing Passion School Games Value.
We had the following 15 schools/16 teams attend our event:

- St Mary's
- St Peter's
- Taverham Jnr
- Toftwood Jnr
The schools participated in 8 different team building activities which were delivered by Taverham High School sports leaders, who were brilliant at supporting and encouraging the children to do their personal best. It was great to see over 150 children involved in various activities and a great opportunity for the pupils to represent their school in a sports event. The pupils were active and improved across the day.
